In an official statement provided by Core Minister Scott Hyan last night, it has been confirmed that The Confederacy has faced a catastrophic event that has been dubbed an ‘extinction level disaster’. Atop the stairs of the Amurin Parliament yesterday evening the minister addressed the media publicly.

“We have received reports from the CAF confirming that as of nine PM last night, the invasion fleet attacking Parabus detonated an unknown weapon upon the planet surface. From what we can understand, there have been no further received transmissions from any Confederacy sources, and our own CAF forces have been forced to retreat to defend the nearby Core settlements.”

Following the statement, a state of universal military emergency was announced by the Core Ministry. Details are scant on the plans for rim-worlds closest to Parabus, but further contacts are expected to be made.

Herran, trading planet closest to Parabus, has reported sights this morning of a heightened presence of CAF fighters and patrolling ships. The public has been urged to remain calm during this period of heightened security by Minister Hyan.

“Vigilance and patience is what we urge going forward during this tumultuous time.”

Herran starports have now been closed to public access, and private flights off-world being restricted to military personnel. Further details to follow.

Blockades have been spotted above the Herran outpost of Yahra. The media has not been notified of the reason for the presence, but the rapid mobilisation of fighters has been observed by locals. People are urged to leave the area if possible or take shelter where available.
